tantek yes I have heard jekyll, problem is that there isn't really a guide which can tell you what you can/can't do with a static site. Honestly not interested to learn the internals of every single spec to make my site as social as I could be but I guess I ll have to

re: what vcard tries to be: vCard4 RFC 6350 is both a vocabulary and a format (MIME headers style) with a file extension .vcf which pretty sure requires UTF-8 now. no mention of protocol AFAIK.

tantek we have interop today, without it. what i want to do is improve interop, by replacing the things mastodon uses JSON-LD for (LDS) with something else. and then having this be the standard.
