  • tw2113, that's a bit of a strawman, even if you meant it humorously. the post is blaming capitalism as one force pushing against decentralization, standards, open formats & APIs, and they’re not wrong. capitalism, in particular VC (what the C stands for), does have a tendency to fund (incentivize) things that "capture value" which is often a euphemism for or implies centralization, proprietary formats, and bizdev APIs
