Re "would the person favoriting have..." that's a larger question around what should or should you not display in a reply context on your site, especially if the the audience of the the thing you're replying to is different from the audience of your post

[tantek] Would the person favoriting have anything on their site showing what and whom they favorited? I know the person in Swarm would only see it and others they are connected to. If nothing is exposed one the person favoriting’s site that is fine.

from what I understand that "add a link tag" is one per post, and separate from any user-visible link tag, so it's not "one-and-done"
