whether it's "OK" is not the actual point. the point is whether it is more or less positive / successful compared to dming someone in terms of actually being sufficiently positively inviting for them to make plans and show up

aaronpk, another option to consider is subsetting your article on the more microformats positive aspects and maybe editing out the critiques of google / schema etc., noting that the full research / details are available on your site for anyone that wants them
