  • huzzah! I had a micro.blog that was just sitting and I didnt know how I would ever utilize it. Now I have to cross posting from my known to my mastodon instance ❤️ My last query in regard to the cross posting, is there a set schedule it will pull from? Or is it instant (or near instant) and automatic?

  • I use http://Micro.blog to cross-post to Mastodon. http://Micro.blog reads my RSS feed (for status updates only) and then re-posts on my behalf.

  • ↩️ You don't want the web3 stuff. That said there are a bunch of decentralized projects that are compatible with each other via standards and can connect to twitter. The easiest is http://micro.blog If you want to host for a small group http://withknown.com

  • Started a thread on this over at micro.blog: https://help.micro.blog/t/importing-content-from-withknown-or-known-cms/914

  • I see the problem in potentially moving from Known to Micro.blog - none of the imports seem to work.

  • Truth is, I am actually still happy functionality wise with Known as my set up, so I'm also reluctant to move. That's the beauty of how it was built. After all these years, it still serves its main purpose perfectly. Doing a comparison with micro.blog is something I am going to try. So I think I will try out micro.blog on a parallel site with a mirror of the content from my Known site and see if it can replace it.

  • The only thing comparable as an almost turnkey solution is micro.blog, and though a hosted account is not crazy expensive, it is not nothing.

  • I keep telling Manton to do this with micro.blog. Like if I could have my instance but have the option of private, community, and public

  • ↩️ Ah. I'm still trying to determine what I want to do with my site. It's running on http://Micro.blog right now, but I have a toss up between @Withknown and Wordpress at the moment (Until CofoundryCMS can support Indieweb, that is).
