  • I share some of the confusion with rel-alternate, corlaez. Strictly speaking I think it's only supposed to link an alternate of the current page. In practice I think it's fairly common to link to multiple different feeds on the homepage that are not alternates of the current page. Feed readers support it just fine, showing multiple options to subscribe to.
