  • Hello, Twitter. If you're looking for another platform in light of the takeover news, I can assist with indieweb platforms. There is Mastodon, http://micro.blog, Indieweb plugins for WordPress blogs & others. Decentralized but they can all connect via ActivityPub protocol.

  • I’ve seen people host images on Flickr and include them directly on their blog. Personally, I would store images on your own site and then POSSE a copy to Flickr. (That’s how I built Flickr support into Micro.blog.)

  • The sad thing, really, is that there is no viable alternative. Trust me, I’m deeply familiar with Mastadon, IndieWeb, http://Micro.blog, et al., but they will not and cannot become the “new Twitter.” They’re not designed to, really. So, revel in the end of days.
