!tell aaronpk also, "easy to fake a checkin post" is hardly any sort of a high-priority problem to solve, it's one of those minutae things that either only devs worry about (not really a UX problem), or is only a problem once a service hits some massive scale. So I'd punt on it, or if you prefer, capture it in a "Brainstorming" section and move on

aaronpk, to figure out "what problem to solve" for albums, e.g. for representing them in mf2, there needs to first be a "what is the UI / presentation we are solving for" documented perhaps at least as a brainstorm, e.g. on /album#Brainstorming that distinguishes it from a /collection

tantek: re twitter's "tailored for you" - I disagree strongly. They need to be much smarter about sending notifications in @ replies, ratehr thna blindly spamming you with all of them, so that option needs to remain. It could be more transparent about what it does, yes, but for twitter to solve the harassent problem it needs some kind of vouch-like or content filter on notifications

the point is not to ask "how can I use webmention to solve this problem" the point is to ask how can I solve this problem with user-actions, and then what posts/protocols/formats could/would work to solve those user actions?
