  • The change I made recently is to allow any account to have an whatever@micro.blog ActivityPub username. And if your domain is hosted on Micro.blog, it can also be you@yourdomain.com.

  • [tantek] For your first question, yes, you can use the Micro.blog ActivityPub feature and it will forward any of the feeds you have set in Micro.blog to your followers. There are some limitations, though, like it doesn’t know how to handle replies from your own site.

  • That Micro.blog warning is there because currently to rename the ActivityPub username, I have to delete it and create a new one. There may be a way to work around this in the future with new Mastodon features, but not totally sure yet.

  • tantek: you can check from your account settings page. replies from you to mastodon users don't seem to work for non-hosted-at-micro.blog blogs at the moment because there's no 'in-reply-to'
