  • Hi [vhbelvadi] Not too bad, thanks! I added a lot more Hugo templates in preparation of using my newly set up (well... halfway there) Micropub server endpoint! I can't tell you how excited I am really. You?

  • [@eclecticpassions] My gift for myself this holiday is diving into uncharted territory—figuring how to setup a #Micropub server for my #Hugo site. Think I'm ready to enter the next step of #Indieweb integration!... (https://fosstodon.org/@eclecticpassions/115790258132148409)

  • But it does put it in a weird spot relative to pure SSGs like Hugo and pure SSR frameworks like Next.js (next.js SSG mode is cursed do not use it)

  • Things I don't implement in the new digital journal ontime will be on paper until they are. I am working out how to write on my phone when on travel for a repository - any suggestions are welcome. I am 90% sure either a hugo or 11ty site is where I am headed (I have 80% of my hugo ready)

  • I think I might try using hugo for a site to try it out.

  • I went with Hugo because its particular Markdown format works and it seems to be a more supported SSG than Jekyll.

  • Making tools and doing things the learning way is always good. My personal site is helpful to me but is not actually a huge focus of effort but at the same time I feel like I understand every line of what my site is doing basically after having to upgrade a Hugo version and trying to get in there and make it a more accessible design. It's kind of a Frankenstein of a blog template now but I like it enough.

  • I liked the look of Hugo. I just prefer to control my own systems and know exactly what each line is doing. There were components I didn't want, and other components I did that didn't exist.
