The other question I had is, when do you decide to put something on a subdomain? Like if I had a blog, I guess it'd be better it sits on your root domain (I hope that's right), but what if it's running on different software? e.g. the root domain is pointing to Webflow, but your blog is on Wordpress or micro.blog... is it better to merge, or try to keep everything housed under one software? Or is there another way to make it work? I've

weird, the "request_token" step there seems unnecessary for a simple token mechanism like micro.blog and micropub. it seems like it was built to support the services that use a separate client secret exchange for a token first

yeah they didn't have a choice for *mastodon* but they added support specifically for mastodon the product, not for a standard. e.g. they could have also said "hey look now you can post to your micro.blog account" and they would have built it with micropub instead

I'm doing something like a "life-hub" sort of place where I can be as focused or random as I get; I'll post about different things and if it turns into a focus, it gets it's own series category/tags and a page. Loosely based on what I see being done with lots of people on micro.blog
