sivy: my incoming webmention handler stores posts in the filesystem as Jekyll- and Hugo- compatible JSON files

I think the main blocker on the GitHub approach was trying to figure out how to store them. One file per webmention, one file per target URL, etc. I use hugo to build my site, so hugo would just read out of wherever they're stored, and render them

(Under the hood, replies get a special post type in Hugo, so they can easily be styled differently and excluded from feeds.)

dragontamer5788: lots of posts and examples on how to do webmentions on static sites in general and Hugo specifically. https://indieweb.org/static_site_generator#See_Also , https://indieweb.org/Hugo , etc

It probably wouldn't be too hard to create a list of webmentions as a list of files in Hugo to iterate though. The next Hugo-update could update the final html pages.

I'm a n00b at all things web. I'm currently investigating Hugo (static site generator) as a methodology behind my website. I found the indie-web wiki and started thinking about various features which bloggers are accustomed to.

After digressing a bit about building a #Micropub endpoint for my website, I’ve been thinking about the next steps: if I should keep #Hugo or move to some other system. #indieweb https://hacdias.com/2020/01/02/6/dynamic-static/

My site is now running Hugo v0.62! Not too painful an upgrade from 0.58.3, given changes in the Markdown parser - https://gitlab.com/jamietanna/jvt.me/merge_requests/637 - largely Table of Contents related, and one place where I'd not got enough spacing in around fenced codeblocks (https://www.jvt.me/mf2/2019/12/wzaua/)
