↩️ I think they coexist well - a rel="alternate" link to the CSV version (and one back in the http head for the CSV) make sense. Microformats use rel a lot too.

[miklb] I viewed the rel-alternate "compromise" as a temporary stopgap/side file solution for the interim. While it will open up things to be more accessible to the less technical, it shouldn't be a permanent solution to themes properly executing proper markup.

Even if the platform you're using doesn't support some form of export, you can use some well-tested tools to extract everything as MF2, and then use that to re-publish to an alternate platform.
