  • Heh. Not sure if you're getting autocompleted jgmac1106 but Hugo is a proper noun rather than an acronym

  • And I agree, Micro.blog actually makes a really nice Hugo site even if it's not a blog. My site book.micro.blog is hosted on Micro.blog and has no blog posts.

  • I will do another run through soon, still think a HUGO landing page like HTML5UP that can work on micro.blog or any HUGO blog would be neat

  • beko: i'm a fan of hugo! love the speed, and power of the templating language (once i got used to it). i ended up creating a bunch of infrastructure around it to make my site dynamic (posting via micropub, displaying context for things i reply to, displaying webmentions, sending webmentions, ...)

  • Gotta admit. I touched Hugo (SSG) and it sure has it's charm. Just wonder about interactive stuff. Running a test by my migrating another website of mine.

  • If folks are interested in the hosted replies feature I was asking for input on last week, we shipped it this week. Gives people the option to always have replies on their own domain name and new Hugo parameters to tinker with. https://www.manton.org/2020/01/27/replies-hosted-at.html

  • ↩️ Danny, the IndieWeb page for Hugo has lots of resources for this (and other fun things). You should also check out the static site generator page and links for other examples/ documentation which can be roughly similar. Good luck! https://indieweb.org/Hugo https://boffosocko.com/2020/01/27/55765773/

  • ↩️ Great article! I have my own website at https://dannysteenman.com which is a static website generated using hugo. I wonder how I can add webmentions to it. Tips are more than welcome!
