its been a while I have not spent time here, but lately I worked to retrieve past incarnation of my blogs over the years and migrated everything to Indiekit, I migrated away both from Micro.blog, but also recovered copies of my data from the Internet Archive, from the time I was running Wordpress, then Known, then Tanzawa, anyway, I found myself quite happy to recover all this data, convert it to markdown and work on getting Eleventy working with

Hi Jrz π There's already no need for someone to run a server, or build their own website, because services like http://Micro.blog exist π Or even "WYSIWYG" website editors, like SquareSpace (not that I'd advise that route specifically π
) AI may help lower certain barriers, but there are definitely ways to climb over them already

joeshmo not at all. there are lots of fully hosted platforms that are very indieweb friendly, including helping you find and register a domain and handling all the technical parts (DNS etc) for you. eg https://micro.blog/ !
