what worries me about this long term is whether "LLM overcrawling" is pushes the web to get behind a very small number of CDNs/hosts, the same way that "overwhelming spam" pushed email to get behind a small number of providers.

I think this is overthinking it a bit? If you're citing a blog post and it's marked up properly with h-entry and an h-card for the author, use the name from that specific h-card since that's what the publisher has publicly associated with that post
