[@artlung] @rkaj For many of us the definition of #IndieWeb is about owning your own web pages, so, YES! Hugo has a good presence and a lot of community members use it ~ https://indieweb.org/Hugo Thanks for the reply! (https://xoxo.zone/@artlung/115197603086769348)

[@rkaj] @artlung I'm an indie web creator, does that make a "member of the #IndieWeb"? I mainly use #RustLang with warp / tokio / ructe, for some older stuff I still use #Python and django. But when I do use a static site generator, I like hugo ( https://gohugo.io/ ). (https://mastodon.nu/@rkaj/115197579103441179)

Hugo is among the more popular static site generators, written in Go. 11ty is another popular one, written in JavaScript.

scimmiarancia[d] Good question! Hugo, a static site generator, is useful if you're site is growing to several pages and you want to reuse templates/pieces of code across documents.

Hi guys, i've got a question. I'm making a blog using only html and css. I've noticed that there is this thing called HUGO that can use template, create lists and convert md to html. Is it useful? Do you use it? Got some alternatives?

[mastodon.social/tags/webmentions] I'm probably done writing about handling webmentions in Emacs for the time being. https://bofh.org.uk/2025/09/09/making-use-of-webmentions/ #emacs #hugo #webmentions #indiweb (https://mendeddrum.org/@pdcawley/115176140527227631)

I suspect Hugo given the usage of Hugo Fast Search but that's the sole evidence I have.
