asuh: the port number refers to IANA assigned port for the various protocols, e.g. HTTP is 80, FTP is 21, Gopher is 70

↩️ The #indieweb movement (which I love and support) gets marginalized by this 'only makes sense if it's a viable company' metric. Early internet was crazy, I get it (Aristotle/Gopher/Web/etc) these things are never easy. Just surprised so few WANT something more open

↩️ I've been on Mastodon for over a year, surrounded by alt-web types, and have heard *zero* mention of IndieWeb or Webmention. I've heard active discussions of ActivityPub, the Fediverse, Scuttlebutt, blockchains, Diaspora, Xanadu, even *Gopher*. Indieweb? Not a word.
