Yesterday an article went live that talks about the movements that exist online to help people create their personal websites. It talks about the IndieWeb (as in our community) but also other communities on the web that bring people together to create their personal websites. Sadly, behind a paywall, but the audio is accessible. I had a listen (since I speak portuguese). At the time I was interviewed (alongside others) so I had a small

The **Cipr** (Cosmic Index of Public Resources) is a decentralized, distributed, and censorship-resistant web index where domain owners control their own entries. No crawler decides if you are worth indexing. No curator approves your submission. No central authority can delist you. You own a domain, you run a small daemon ―a ciprnode―, you add a DNS TXT record, and your site is in the index, worldwide, in minutes.

👋🏾 hey all, new here and glad to be in. I run oaklens.art, my photography site (rebuilt by hand off Squarespace so I actually own it now). I also just launched analogs.network, an open-source webring for independent creative sites. Old-web idea with a small 2026 twist: it's a living map that visibly grows as sites join. Figured this was the room that'd get it. Happy to be around.
