kylewm: WordPress supports importing from MANY formats. I'd predict that there's a good chance an existing Known export to a standard format can be imported into WordPress.

many people who use WordPress are too attached to the themes and customization to either switch themes or some plugins may conflict with #IndieWeb stuff. You could save WordPress for your long form and move social stream to @withknown or @microdotblog… https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/2019/02/10/many-people-who-use-wordpress-are-too

↩️ I haven't seen a plugin either, but it should be doable via API https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us/articles/213480768-Medium-API-Intro @Medium wrote their own version for WordPress which still works: https://github.com/Medium/medium-wordpress-plugin

heyo! trying to import WordPress xml, from a 10-year WordPress site, had some fun (nginx timeouts and stuff) but now it's imported, there's some obvious issues. Mant imported posts are actually be photos, but there's no way to make that happen. There's other things like it completely ignoring media and not importing media attachment relationships, has anyone out there had a successful WordPress import??

↩️ My blog is self-hosted WordPress. I pay Reclaim for hosting, and for my 2 domains (http://mahabali.me and http://creativitycourse.org). WordPress installation (and many other tools on cPanel) is free and straightforward on both of these. I have multiple subdomains, cost nothing

@p1lch http://bit.ly/2rV0uLI Have you tried the @withknown>WordPress plug-in? I am actually doing a two week test to decide if I want @withknown or WordPress for #IndieWeb stuff

So, if I understand correctly, Known is basically an alternative to WordPress with fewer plugins?
