  • evenings. I'm implementing h-review in Arcology right now and having a lot of the same thoughts re the property names as the unaddressed feedback here http://microformats.org/wiki/h-review-feedback... tantek: what is the process for amending things like that? no one on IWC wiki has been called out as using the microformat http://indiewebcamp.com/review

  • !tell barnabywalters Hi, man! How are u doing? I've talked to tantek this mooring, he suggest me to create top level effort page for sheet-music (http://microformats.org/wiki/sheet-music), like http://microformats.org/wiki/sheet-music. what do you think? Is there a different denomination for sheet of music with pentagrams etc. and for sheet of lyrics with chords?

  • it's going to be a hard one to "get right", as the way timezones work in vcard/ical is very weird, and timezones as a whole are an iffy thing to denote (quite the disconnect between complexity, automated processing ability, actually representing what a user would want to show/display or already does on their homepage, and actually representing something useful to parse and do something with)

  • this kind of reasoning: "could prove a useful data surface, and could spur the development of browser-based tools" is what lots of people (myself included) used as justification for developing and using LOTS of microformats back in the mid-2000s, and only a tiny fraction of those were every actually realized, for all the effort that went into inventing things marking things up.

  • [jgarber] you also wrote in that issue #7: "The implementation matches the examples in my comment above along with feedback in the #microformats IRC/Slack channel." which is a good update on progress, however it would be better to fully capture your implementation design in GitHub with the the feedback incorporated, so additional implementers do not have to check microformats IRC logs to figure out what might have changed

  • [TMichelleMoore] both are ok. I think the important part is to go with what you want to display on your pages first, and then we can figure out how to markup the microformats. For posts and author h-card in particular, let's follow up in #indieweb-dev

  • tantek - totally different topic, but what do you think about the notion that xfn is effectively dead or at least irrelevant at this point? I can find very little useful things that have happened with it lately. This guy seems to have some good points - http://jeffreybarke.net/2013/04/whats-happening-with-xfn/
