  • KevinMarks, maybe? I don't think such negative signals actually work in practice. I think the opposite is true. We need some consuming code/service incentive to publish more "positive" explicitly social "links" (like the meanings conveyed by XFN) which many things (including search engines, but not primarily) could use to prioritize results both overall, and based on who is searching (if you've chosen to login)

  • Frankly I'm not a huge fan of the Change Proposal process, and I'd rather focus my energies on positive contributions (e.g. the wiki contributions to microformats to help it work better as a registry) than to fight about objections.

  • I don't know of any support yet - there's no definitive proof either way until either someone see something working (positive result), or a search engine representative makes an official statement of non-support.
