When I describe Webmention to technically apt friends, they insist that of course I'll wanna add rel="nofollow" to any mentions I publish on my own site, in order to discourage being used as a link-farm. And that makes sense to me, too.

sknebel, re: vouch, I also tried to work rel scanning into my vouch flow. If you say trusted.example.com linked to you, my backend will verify that said link does not have nofollow on it.

!tell tantek we should implement META tag noindex,nofollow on all newly created microformats pages, in this way we will discourage all these webspammers. And these tag should be also removed by Loqi or by request if the content worth the effort.

should we add 'sponsored' and 'ugc' to https://microformats.org/wiki/existing-rel-values somewhere? I don’t know how widely used sponsored is, but ugc is supported by wordpress https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow#Qualified_outbound_links
