  • They either have microformats, or they don’t. But that is the same with WordPress themes, is kinda my point. The problem is with dynamically updating HTML written by someone else (theme creator / CMS creator) to add microformats.

  • [jgmac1106] if only the microformats plugin could be smart about that and rather than tell people "You do NOT install microformats", it could do the right thing, detecting perhaps if it is needed or not in such a situation, and quietly doing nothing, perhaps with a notice informing the user that their #indieweb WordPress theme is already taking care of good markup.

  • ↩️ That depends on which platform you use. Known, for example, has a lot of it built in. WordPress requires plugins and a theme supporting microformats 2. Perch, Drupal, Jeckill support to varrying degrees.
