Interesting: "Autonomie" is a semantic, responsive, accessible #WordPress theme (via @pfefferle) with microformats and microdata support. #OpenWeb #IndieWeb https://github.com/pfefferle/Autonomie

Trying to use it for the 3rd time. My theme projects always run out of every frame I set.. Supporting all the indieweb related plugins, build in microformats and schema.org, good look for all post kind, variations for articles, pages and archives.. so sad

[pfefferle] Autonomie: "Autonomie" is a highly semantic, responsive, accessible and search engine optimized WordPress Theme. It provides HTML5 templates refined with microformats, microformats v2 and microdata (Schema.org). "Autonomie" supports a lot of OpenWeb plugins and is fully IndieWeb compatible.

[pfefferle] new theme getting great reviews and removal of microformats is in overall WP.org roadmap... That will help in a way when it happens

If you want to try a different approach I recommend you search your old theme for older microformats such as hentry...

I'm trying to make the Microformats 2 WordPress plug-in play nice with the Twenty Nineteen default theme. It seems to work, but the display is mangled. Where is a place to start? I'm not a code, but I'm code literate enough to hack the theme's php and css if that's what is required.

[chrisaldrich] on the flip side, I'm still looking for input from WordPress (theme) experts on the potential use of additional class names in mf2 h-entry backcompat parsing specifically to get more information from widely deployed WordPress themes - would appreciate your analysis and insights on this issue: https://github.com/microformats/h-entry/issues/7

They either have microformats, or they don’t. But that is the same with WordPress themes, is kinda my point. The problem is with dynamically updating HTML written by someone else (theme creator / CMS creator) to add microformats.
