I'm trying to find a way to make it auth me as the root, eg https://snarfed.org/ , instead of https://snarfed.org/author/[user], which it's currently doing

hey GWG, the IndieAuth plugins' "Set User to Represent Site URL" setting doesn't seem to work, is that a known bug?

edited /large_language_model_traffic (+294) "/* Tools to combat */ editing the quote, adding … ellipses. formatting on block quotes sure takes a lot of space inside lists. not good on information dense pages."

but somehow exposes approve, delete, and markAsSpam verbs. https://developers.google.com/blogger/docs/3.0/reference/comments#methods and checking some blogspot blogs I follow, the path to create a comment is complicated.

this is getting a bit too close to #indieweb-dev territory but i am reminded of salmon and salmention as a way to propagate replies up the chain, which would at least allow you to check the "root post" on the origin server for a more complete picture. alternatively if there was a real conversation being maintained on a central hub server then you could check there (kind of like a mailing list)
