You can pick and choose what to do with your site, when to do it etc, it’s not a requirement list

Speaking as someone new to this, for me personally, indiewebifying isn’t exactly a “checklist” to work through as quickly as possible, but more about making incremental, deliberate changes to my web presence

I used Hugo for the first time the last couple of days. It is sort of oddly like the system I had developed for myself with structured JSONs... A little bit of a learning curve, but I like it. Lovely and lightweight! I used it to make a brand hub for a client.

🌱 Get started on the indieweb by connecting with the IndieWeb community, getting a personal domain, a place for your content, and setting up your home page and other IndieWeb essentials https://indieweb.org/Getting_started

Speaking of. Getting into the IndieWeb, looking at the wiki, it's a bit of a mess to get your head around. Is there a getting started kind of guide? I mean, what should I _do_ to my blog to make it more IndieWeb friendly? How do I post to the bot here? How do I set up commenting between sites? It's a lot. I don't have enough time in this subject and I do not know. I set up an h-card- I think that's cool.

visible content methods strongly preferred (no metacrap or OGP / Twitter cards please, I find them mostly a waste of time)

somewhat related to reply contexts — how do people extract "essential information" about a post that they are replying to or citing, especially as a fallback when you don't find the info you want (article name, author name, date published) in the h-entry/h-card?
