I happen to be a Flickr subscriber, and I have no desire to try to save <$100 a year by trading that off against the anxiety of working with other "cloud" solutions that I have no idea will either break at some traffic level or charge me a lot more.

re Flickr, I know it has a lot of fondness and goodwill in this community due to its history, which is well deserved...but note of caution if you actually want to build with it, its API has seemed pretty stagnant and unmaintained for a while, and it also has a few strange developer-hostile (or at least problematic) features like not serving the `Content-Length` header on its images (!):

Alas, the memento-mori tool for reconstructing an IG account failed on my first attempt, saying that the HTML download was not a proper IG archive. Have asked for a JSON export to try that. Tomorrow.

One thing that came up was serving only `img` tags with a specific image in the RSS version of a post rather than using picture / srcset, then using richer markup on the page itself.
