Like my recent post about adding more site-specific search engines, there was no need for GitHub so no repo etc. not every helpful thing fits into an open source shaped hole

One way I get around this on my personal site is to have https://jamesg.blog/longform-feed which is a h-feed that contains all of my post contents.

Like whenever I look at YouTube I’m inundated with vlogs that are just people reading Reddit posts, and then on Reddit people post those same videos. It’s an ouroborus.

yeah not sure. The blog post seems more focused on how to write an @-mention in a post and what their app (might?) do with it. I do see a comment at the bottom of the blog but no comment form, so wonder if that was a WM

It’s a little baffling how many people on the r/indieweb subreddit seem to know nothing about http://indieweb.org and the protocols discussed in these circles. For example, https://www.reddit.com/r/indieweb/comments/1u3cne2/universal_mentions_for_the_social_web/ (both the post itself and the comment by happy_hawking).

🗺 Maps are representations of the real world that are often used to display the location of a post, especially for checkins, and sometimes an aspect of archive pages, showing locations (or animating travel) during the month or other time period https://indieweb.org/map
