sknebel it could be mildly entertaining to write up a critique of the Date (or equivalent) objects in the top 3-4 "ecosystems" (JS, PHP, Java, Python, Ruby?) and how they fail to express numerous human use-cases for dates & times

language datetime data types fail to represent actual human precision datetimes so no, I would strongly recommend against that. Or rather, conversion to language datetime data types is a information lossy operation

FYI, Dreamhost is going to try to upgrade PHP7.4 sites to PHP8.1 on May 25. If their tests fail after update, they'll revert and notify you.

you haven't declared refresh anywhere, so it's going to be local to the onreadystatechange functions, so when you try to refresh it will fail.
