wordpress is pretty heavy, especially self-hosting. PHP, MySQL, filesystem, etc. if those are all in scope for what you want to teach, then sure! but it's a lot for people who aren't already technical

my site is using a webmention plugin for jekyll so i can probably try sending one from the cli later and see if it differs from sending one using Telegraph

currently doing the webmention tests on webmention.rocks, so far i've passed almost everything (still a few left to do) but im stuck on Update Test #2 where it asked to remove a link. im using Telegraph to send webmentions and it didn't allow me to send one because "The source document does not have a link to the target URL or domain" so im wondering if this is normal and does it mean i can't pass this test?

I'd recommend against WordPress for beginners unless you're only talking about their hosted platform and even then it's too steep of a step to go from there to self hosted
