Some people will be fooled by bots or miscreants, others will deliberately post bad signals for nefarious reasons but a lot of "vouches", however it's done, from sites which themselves have a lot of "vouches" (from sites with a lot of "vouches"... etc...) would be a strong signal. You'd end up with a sort of "web of trust" that would be harder to game.

  • [gRegorLove] I am storing in ISO8601, but when I built it 25+ years ago storing the date format as well to just query and post was far more efficient. I also have many templates and queries I would need to rewrite and the less than one second to process 2200 entries to take the ISO8601 and drop in in the date column and everything work was worth it.

  • FrESH discussion about dates had me notice my dates on my post were a format I rarely ever use (Month Day, Year), but as I was building it (well its precursor for travel entries) I was rolling a CMS from scratch for a government project and they required the American format. Since this was initiall created 25 to 26 years ago I would take the time stamp and log it, but also have a column in MySQL with the date written out in the desired
