[Michael_Kupiet]++ thank you so much! This clears up some confusion. I thought that the post types might be important for some reason I didn’t understand yet. Which would be not quite so comfortable to work with since the post types WP plugin can’t use the Gutenberg editor yet.

some themes allow you to have a "photo" post look different than a "quote" post, etc.

@bearina there's two similarly-named concepts in wordpress. There's "post types" (photo, gallery, quote, etc.) and there's "custom post types" which you create yourself but are more like "page", "post", "attachment" (which is media) etc. If you're talking about the first type I believe it's not really used unless you're using a WordPress theme that uses them; in that case, what they do would depend on the theme. But I believe the idea is

[capjamesg] mahboubine yes, the instagram posts which I have bulk imported manually, and imported via IFTTT, and now manually add one at a time have a different presentation because of a different root theme file. I use the tag 'via-instagram' and trigger different look and feel based on that. I use the tittle as the caption (no matter the length) and then include image (or images) in the body. There are many ways to approach this. Custom post

Do I post these as photo type? but they have captions and some of the posts have more than one photo. Or can I integrate custom taxonomies in the indiweb functionality?

can someone give me pointers how to handle instagram posts? what I mean is: I scraped all my instagram posts and want to integrate them to my WP blog. I know what to do but the indieweb plugins give me post type options I don't quite now what to do with.
