  • [snarfed] Is there a way I can sign in with AT Proto via bridgy fed? I tried to sign into https://skyrdle.com/ but I got an OAuth error from them "Login failed: Failed to resolve OAuth server metadata for resource: https://atproto.brid.gy/"

  • Yeah, the client is just getting the URL of the post you click. Actual communication would need to be Bridgy Fed or similar

  • You can place key-value pairs in the page-map before spitting it to make "special pages", such as the notes feed. The notes feed maps through the children of /notes/, grabs their content and permalink, and creates a mini feed item on the special "/notes" page. This item is barebones, but the permalinked page has everything necessary for bridging through Bridgy Fed, receiving Webmentions, etc.

  • NegateThis: I'm only starting out with the /notes on my Hugo site via Indiekit, and I also use a feed (which will be paginated) style page that displays full content of notes and then each note has a permalink to its own page. Indiekit allows for automatic syndication to Mastodon, but I haven't gotten around to trying that yet. (I don't use bridgy)

  • I'm still not sure how I want to organize "notes" and wanted some ideas. Submitting "posts" vs "notes" to Bridgy Fed is the same process, where a note is an h-entry without a title. Since it's the same process, I was thinking of having a "/notes" slug on my website which would be a list of links to notes and each note would have its own full page. Basically the exact same way that blog posts are

  • I like the setup I have now for my site + bridgy fed. Posts get converted to a "tweet" that is just a link to the post. Great.
