[capjamesg] that kind of hybrid CMS+SSG setup makes a lot of sense and I have seen others doing similar things. E.g. WordPress as a private CMS, then an SSG takes the generated files and publishes them on the actual site. Such a setup has better security properties as well, because CMSs tend to have more security surface (and holes) than SSGs
