I have a njk expression in my permalink {{ slug if slug else title | slug }} so if there's an explicit slug, it uses that. If not, it makes a slug out of the title. It works in e.g. /posts/foo.njk but it does not work in /posts/bar.md

↩️ I set up something similar two days ago and it works a treat. Handy if I've not updated my site for a few days but i.e webmentions are being received, I know they'll be reciprocated each day at least

re-reading and re-writing the whole site all the time. This particular tradeoff has a number of dimensions, so I wouldn't claim any specific "optimalness" for it, but I'm finding that it works well so far.

Anyone fancy giving https://micropub-postman.herokuapp.com/ a go? It supports (non-PKCE) IndieAuth so should work, and it'd be nice to see how it works for other folks' servers, especially those that have https://github.com/indieweb/micropub-extensions/issues/33 and https://github.com/indieweb/micropub-extensions/issues/7

I find that tweet hard to parse. The only interpretation that I can think of is "people I don't like are trying to use their personal agency for things I don't like." If that's the argument, I'm not sure what to respond besides "yeah, that's how it works."

how do you write a test to ensure the system is *not* sentient? I guess it works as long as it doesn't get clever enough to read and understand the test code in one go
