Pretty sure Bridgy Fed was fine already, but anyway something to keep an eye on.

bridgy sends webmentions for likes/reposts of the note to both the note and the article, because the mastodon reposts do include a link to the article

also wm != pingback != bridgy != wmio etc. you can have "plain" webmentions without any of the rest of those, and using those as an excuse to get rid of webmentions shows a lack of understanding of webmentions

the slightly broader version of that is: prioritize web <=> protocol-X in Bridgy Fed right now more than protocol-Y <==> protocol-X

[snarfed], yeah, I'm looking forward to using Bridgy Publish more into Bluesky. Will probably continue manually until links work, though.

just between you two and me, and the 1200+ people here, and the public chat logs, I'm prioritizing web <=> bluesky in Bridgy Fed right now more than activitypub <=> bluesky

I need to look into Bridgy Fed again, and consider what I ultimately want, but it's something I'd like to dabble with once I have some time. I definitely want to find a way to use Bluesky without actually having to use the site itself, and Bridgy/Bridgy Fed is top of the list for ways that I might be able to achieve that
