I tend not to do automatic cross-posting. I cross-post #metazooa and #rabbit_quest manually. I would like a per post option. I have not tried Bridgy-fed with Known but it might work for you.

[snarfed] I’ve just set up BF ([aciccarello] pointed me at https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/281) and my profile seems to be set up OK—https://fed.brid.gy/web/campegg.com—but no activity is showing up, and when I try to follow other people, it either fails silently (like trying to follow you) or throws a 500 (like trying to follow Anthony). Not sure what I’ve broken, but I’m guessing it has to do with the custom username?

[snarfed] just to be clear, I would like to have one account with “[at]http://marcuslindblom.com” handle that I can publish on from mastodon but also from my site using bridgy. Is that possible? It seems like my [at]http://marcuslindblom.com handle is impossible to login to. I don’t host my own server, just the webfinger

[m] yup those will be two separate accounts. BF doesn't yet support account migration/merge, but we can try eventually, feel free to 👍 https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/330

aaronpk 0x3b0b definitely agreed, thanks. I'm curious what you think of Bridgy Fed's current disclaimer? eg https://fed.brid.gy/web/nature.com

[snarfed], reading now, good post so far. Would it be fair to say the value of Bridgy Fed letting people follow any site is they can see the posts in Mastodon (or whichever service) instead of subscribing in a reader?

hmm, Bridgy is not Ruby or Linode

Ooh, disabled Bridgy and it seems to have stopped. Curious, it wasn't showing me it had sent anything before. And the IP of the "bridge" seemed to suggest a Linode server.

I should look at Bluesky publish support in Bridgy at some point. [Joel_Auterson] got it pretty close, https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy/issues/1580
