  • !tell Kolev not sure you ever got an answer yo tour HTTPS question. Most people do not have a need to protect traffic within their own network / on the same server with HTTPS, so they would set up nginx (or whatever their ingress point is) to handle (“terminate”) HTTPS (TLS). You might need multiple certificates or a wildcard certificate still, if your different services are on subdomains.

  • I was saying it's pretty easy installing apache2 or nginx. With apache2, I just had to unzip wordpress and paste it in. You may need to do an extra step to get php to work. It's very straightforward though and there are a lot of guides

IIRC, installing wordpress was as easy as sudo-apt install apache2 and then downloading a thing and unpack in it in the web directory. I expect Nginx will give a similar experience.   • For server software, you'll be looking at Apache or Nginx. Wordpress can be hosted on either. It can work with AP with a plugin and POSSE to bluesky or use bridgyfed. No clue about Instagram or Twitter as some of their APIs have been locked down. You can also make a theme to present posts as a microblog if you'd like. I don't activitypub for wordpress will be discontinued anytime soon
