[campegg] I'm trying to do exactly the same, and that at least makes me less worried if I fail

For a sparkline, serving stale is not a fail case, so serving the cached one, then deciding whether to regen can be a good choice

aaronpk++ nice! you merged it before I could get the W3C Slack to work (something with the network here is making JS-heavy webpages/apps fail weirdly)

hah yes, integrations often fail, or at least the products themselves die, but definitely less common that they successfully spin back out

The authorization response now SHOULD return the iss parameter, and the client MUST compare it to the one provided in the metadata endpoint during discovery and if it doesn't, fail.

BeReal was a topic of conversation at border:none and a bit at IndieWebCamp (though I’m pretty sure we don't have a page for it). Apparently it's a collapsing silo: https://www.dazeddigital.com/life-culture/article/61166/1/why-did-bereal-fail-social-media-instagram-authenticity

language datetime data types fail to represent actual human precision datetimes so no, I would strongly recommend against that. Or rather, conversion to language datetime data types is a information lossy operation
