Dynamic data I mean - cos yeah, there are strong arguments to use plain localised static HTML in very many cases. Inserting translations via JS is against standard best practice, but there are some use cases. It does make sense for this client cos they only wanted to maintain one file (I did originally plan multiple for each language, automatically generated, but then it can't be integrated as a webapp

On mine, no - HTML is better. But it would be useful if I were perhaps working on some sort of information tool where I didn't need every bit of localised text to be in the DOM from the start. It would be useful for presenting data in tables, for example. I don't personally do that. Others might
