Right now my website is mostly structured around a card style UI for listing posts. That works well for blog posts with featured images and decent for notes. But likes and bookmarks look oversized

The attributes go on `` elements, so the CSS for the light colour scheme looks something like `article + article:before { content: attr(light-emoji

I used to use asterisms between entry snippets. Now I use a set of emoji, and a random picker with the feature that it never picks the same element of a collection twice in a row. I encode the emoji as attributes in HTML so that I can have one set for the light colour scheme and the other for dark. https://github.com/qubyte/qubyte-codes/blob/823c0e377f3387234b412c1cfb779cb6202869d0/lib/templates.js#L56-L70

I've got big gaps in years, but when I do actively write I actually try to spread out my writing by scheduling for the future. And not just for the look, I personally find it motivating that I have "3 weeks worth of things written" - eg on Monday I have an ode to my shredder going love and I get to be excited when I write AND when it goes live

I'm with aciccarello on ease being critical. Although I'm still not comfortable with short form (less than a page at least) content
