  • where your credentials could be sniffed as you enter them into the page? couldn't anyone just scan for wordpress config interfaces on random domains and take over websites? my understanding is that this installation is supposed to be completed on a machine attached to a secure LAN, but I'm installing wordpress on a VPS

  • finished configuring wordpress up to step 6 in this tutorial - https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-with-lemp-on-ubuntu-22-04#step-6-completing-the-installation-through-the-web-interface but http://mydomain/wordpress isn't serving the installation page.... I'll have to double check everything. does wordpress really just stick the configuration interface out there on the web from an http server
