For folks that actively use a separate Mastodon account on someone else's server rather than federating their personal site, what are you use-cases for that? Or is it simply a matter of "easier", i.e. too much work to setup BridgyFed / WP plugin to federate?

Hi everyone, I am a musician/educator with a newfound special hobby interest in online privacy, web dev, and making cool weird websites. I don't have much coding experience other than basic html skills from my myspace days (lol) but I am excited to learn and contribute to the indieweb movement in whatever way I can.

No, that was it basically. I just have a TBD note in the H&S on that page so was checking. Yeah I figured we would clear out overnight

Like what would a plain text format / layout for a physical card catalog card look like? And if someone (ahem [chrisaldrich]) brought their typewriter and card stock, could we make a few like right there in the session?

Haha I'm the opposite, I prefer scope focus in sessions to go deep and uncover insights, maybe make progress on a design, rather than the kind of broader discussion that could be over drinks, dinner, or heck an espresso (live stream) at that

I don't think it will make any difference apart from me not getting annoyed at seeing a handful of 404 errors in my logs for that URL

It's a proposed standard to allow servers to ask visiting agents not to prefetch resources. Basically it's small JSON file you put at .well-known/traffic-advice, and in my case I've just set it to "go ahead and prefetch if you want"

just added a .well-known/traffic-advice file to my site (purely to get rid of the 404s in my logs)
