↩️ With GROQ you basically select data, filter it and then project what you want the JSON object for each item to look like. (In the linked example it's Nobel Prize winners, in my case it was webmentions… it works on any valid JSON)

Not an IndieWeb problem, but I have a script that uses rsync to create a local copy of server log files and a local copy of two server installs. It works perfectly when run directly from the command line, but when I run it as a launcd process, it gives a bunch of errors that seem to be related to permissions. I've searched for answers, which seem to suggest a mismatch between the use running the launchd process and the user

I like the statement of values / rough structure on that how it works page. And especially that they’re upfront with who is involved / bios etc., in stark contrast to so many dweb/web3 hype projects

I have temporary switched the discord bridge over to "simple" mode where it uses a single IRC connection, but sadly doesn't impersonate on the IRC side. Let's see if it works.

ok, so the Discord -> IRC direction is sporadic, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I got in touch with libera.chat support, but so far there isn't a single obvious reason for the problem.

Mastodon does support migration now with alsoKnownAs and a “move” verb. I haven’t implemented it yet but probably should. (Wonder if it works for renaming a username on the same instance.)

↩️ I think it works better than fake version numbers, and we do have principles https://indieweb.org/principles
