the good news is that you don’t need to know about python, flask, publ, stacks, frameworks, nginx, linux or apache to do this stuff.

so for example, http://beesbuzz.biz runs on publ, which runs on flask, which runs on Linux and is routed by nginx/apache/whatever

It should just work. I host some static ics files on abfall.nerdbridge.de with forced http->https redirect and all. Just works with thunderbird. If there are any headers then nginx sets them automatically.

Past day jobs are where I’ve used nginx as well.

But in dayjobs past nginx was fine to work with.

Support offered to move my apps to Nginx servers off Apache. I do have one .htaccess tied to one sub-domain that I’m converting to not use it. I’ve worked with apps on Nginx and had to rethink things in the past, but I’ve not moved from Apache to Nginx before (I have a long history with Apache).

Ah, nginx, I don't know that one very well. Still, I'd think it were possible.

you could use caching. at least in nginx it is quite easy to enable that for specific URLs/folders. and what btrem says.
