there are several options for open-source software to use to bridge IRC and discord tho, just google "IRC discord bridge"

Not sure it can? Bc in discord the edit is a feature to show the link preview. So really it's a bridge issue not a Discord issue

the other annoying thing is discord sends edits out when they add the link preview to a message. that one might be able to be stopped in the discord bridge tho.

[mattl]: IRC doesn't support editing, idk about webchat. I mean bridge slack&discord and bridge irc to one of them. So it can look like slack<->discord<->irc
