Threads seems more compatible (and future proof) since it's already partly part of "fedi" and allows migration to other ActivityPub implementations / servers, whereas bsky only conceptually does (no elsewhere to migrate to)

[snarfed] [manton] I have now updated my post permalinks to also have the "<link rel="author" type="application/activity+json" href="..." />" markup in the header so an ActivityPub crawler/parser can retrieve one of my post permalinks as HTML, do link rel=author discover with a filter for that type, and the subsequently to the same ActivityPub actor/profile discover they would like (equivalent to the fedi:creator thing) on that

In this case, Bridgy Publish is one such client of mf2 parsing, and it should make the "product" decision that is best for Bridgy Pub in terms of does it matter to BP to support consuming XML or not (what use-cases) and how much does it matter (is it broadly applicable or is it someone's academic experiment?)
