Logging this here as a general statement for the future: I want to pushback on “by association” (e.g. behaviors of one employee mean a whole org or all their products are “controversial”) implications because such things in practice have no boundaries (and thus aren’t helpful to anyone). Like imagine if everything indieweb was judged by what one person did who had been to an IndieWebCamp once

Yes [jeremycherfas], I host my static files on Netlify and media on S3/Cloudfront. Works pretty well for me but would love fresh perspective on it because I’ve been doing it for years without really hearing about others doing the same. I never knew if it was that unique a setup or because it’s so “duh” simple that others do it too without thinking about explaining it publicly.
