I generally prefer to stick to tried-and-true servers like Nginx, but this would simplify so many things it’s tempting.

Anyone have experience with Caddy? We’re considering switching from Nginx to Caddy to simplify HTTPS for hosted blogs on Micro.blog… https://caddyserver.com

aite so i already build musl, mimalloc, openssl, zlib-ng, pcre, and nginx static-pie from source with all the gcc optims (lto, march=[cpu name], fno-semantic-interposition, graphite, etc). all that's missing for the ultimate meme server build is PGO. but my -march is for a more modern cpu than the build machine so i'll get "illegal instruction" if i run on the host machine.

in terms of private pages on static sites, I keep thinking the integration points would be limited to setting up individual password via nginx/apache or whatever webserver. Think alot of the integrations back to the indieweb would need a webserver.

I have gotten a few reports of that. I use nginx. Odd thing is, I didn't touch that in the last update
